Ambos for Africa

St John Ambulance Officers Janelle Chambers (Left) and Hannah Donald (Right) have had enough of the easy Auckland Life.  Come April 2011, they're packing their bags and heading off to the remote Massailands of Kenya, Africa.

For six weeks they will live with the villagers and work as medical support officers in the remote clinic.  "Six weeks really isn't that long and I hope we can make a difference in some of these peoples lives"  Hannah Says "For Janelle and I this decision was an easy one.  We decided that now was the time to step outside of ourselves, our comfort zones.

Hannah & Janelle are volunteering their services through Global Volunteer Network and are currently raising the $13,000.00 need to fund their trip.  Janelle says she is both scared and excited.  "I've never been to a third world country before, but I'm really willing to use my skills in whatever way possible.  We live in a very privledged country and I don't want to take that for granted."

Hannah and Janelle believe they have a lot to give and are very excited about their Trip.  They have decided to call this adventure Ambos for Africa and you can check out more information on their website www.ambosforafrica.com
